Nik Kershaw, Go West singer Peter Cox and Marillion vocalist Steve Hogarth are among the guests on Lonely Robot, a new project by It Bites singer John Mitchell.

Lonely Robot’s album Please Come Home, out on February 23, also features narration by Master And Commander actor Lee Ingleby. The rhythm section on the album is Kajagoogoo bassist Nick Beggs and Pendragon drummer Craig Blundell.

Mitchell explained: “The album is more about atmosphere than technical expertise, inspired by my love of science-fiction and interest in the evolution of the human race.”

Other vocalists on the album include Frost’s Jem Godfrey, Kim Seviour of Touchstone and Heather Findlay of prog band Mostly Autumn.
