Madness have announced a marathon 17-date tour, with gigs at horse racing, cricket, rugby, motor racing and football stadiums between May and September.

The Nutty Boys will also headline On Blackheath festival on September 13 and have confirmed details of their own annual House Of Fun Weekender festival for November.

The band are currently recording their eleventh album, the follow-up to 2012’s Oui Oui Si Si Ja Ja Da, having previewed new song The Last Rag And Bone Man at last year’s House Of Fun Weekender.

On Blackheath festival is on September 12-13 at London’s Blackheath Common, with Elbow headlining the previous day. Other acts on Saturday include Manic Street Preachers, Anna Calvi and a second stage curated by Heavenly Records. Sunday’s bill features Kelis, Laura Mvula and a second stage curated by Gilles Peterson. Tickets are £89 for the weekend, or £54.50 for Saturday and £45 for Sunday, on sale from Friday at www.onblackheath.com. Madness’ show will be their only gig in London this year.

House Of Fun Weekender is at Minehead Butlins on November 20-23, with Madness headlining the first two nights. Other acts will be announced shortly. Tickets are £195 including accommodation from www.madness.co.uk.

Tickets for the band’s own tour, dubbed the Grandslam Tour, are £35, on sale from Friday.
