Heaven 17 and Blancmange have announced a joint tour for October, which was dreamed up at our Synthpop Summit earlier this year. Issue Ten’s round-table was the first time Heaven 17’s Glenn Gregory and Blancmange’s Neil Arthur had sat and had a cup of tea and catch-up for some years. They’d played a one-off date together in 2011 but, as everyone departed Classic Pop towers that day, there were firm hand-shakes between the two front men and much talk of “we must try and do something together soon.”

And they have. The two group’s combined Synthetic Delights kick off on 23 October and takes in Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds, Southampton and London. “Well, I’ll go t’ foot of our stairs!” says a delighted Neil Arthur. “Hope to see you all there. On tour that is. Not at the bottom of the stairs.” Full dates as follows:
