OMD to headline all three Rewind festivals
Rewind festival has announced the line-up for its three events this summer, with OMD headlining at all three.
Also playing at each festival are Bananarama, Belinda Carlisle and Kim Wilde.
Rewind Scotland at Perth Scone Palace on July 24-26 adds Thompson Twins singer Tom Bailey as a headliner, after Bailey made his return to playing live last year following a lengthy sabbatical from pop music.
Also at the event are Jimmy Somerville, Sister Sledge, Nik Kershaw, Altered Images, Kid Creole, Howard Jones, Five Star and Hue And Cry. Making their first appearance at the festival are From The Jam, The Orchestra and former Rainbow singer Joe Lynn Turner.
Rewind North at Cheshire Capesthorne Hall on August 7-9 sees The Human League join OMD as headliners. Also playing are The Boomtown Rats, Jimmy Somerville, Heather Small, The Sugarhill Gang, Soul II Soul, ABC, The Selecter, Chesney Hawkes, Howard Jones, Imagination, Dr And The Medics and John Parr.
Rewind South at Henley-on-Thames Temple Island Meadows on August 21-23 also sees The Human League and OMD headline. Other artists include newcomers British Electric Foundation, the ‘80s electronic collective whose line-up at the festival will feature Glenn Gregory, Thomas Dolby, Peter Hook, Eddi Reader of Fairground Attraction, M’s Robin Scott and former Noisettes signer Shingai Shoniwa.
Also making their debut at Rewind South are Black Box, Dave Edmunds and The Stray Cats’ Slim Jim Phantom. Other artists include ABC, T’Pau, Nik Kershaw, Billy Ocean, Midge Ure, Hot Chocolate, Soul II Soul and Go West.
