Blancmange take it as red
Blancmange are to play a one-off event at a London art gallery to launch their new album, Semi Detached.
The show at Red Gallery in east London’s Shoreditch on May 15 is the first time the band will perform songs from their fifth album. Support comes from experimental artist Bernholz, with tickets £22.50 from http://redgallerylondon.com/event/blancmange/1431712800-1431734400
Semi Detached is out on March 23, and is the first made by singer Neil Arthur without keyboardist Stephen Luscombe, whose longterm health problems meant he was unable to contribute. First single Paddington is out on March 9, while the album also features a cover of Can’s I Want More and the opening The Fall, which is a tribute to Mark E Smith’s band.
Blancmange recently finished touring with Heaven 17, which was organised after Arthur and Heaven 17 singer Glenn Gregory met at last year’s synthpop summit organised by Classic Pop.
