Erasure singer Andy Bell is to release a remix album based on last year’s solo album Torsten The Bareback Saint.

Released on September 4, Variance features nine remixes, including the radio remixes of Bell’s singles Weston-Super-Mare, I Don’t Like and Fountain Of Youth, as well as the medley of the original album which was issued as a promotional single.

There are a total of five remixes of Weston-Super-Mare, including mixes by Mooger! and Dancing With Ruby, plus new mixes by Bell and album producer Michael J Allison including the radically different Industrial Soundscape Mix.

The album is rounded off by the Electropop Remake mix of Bingo Hall Baby by Bell and Allison, featuring new lyrics and re-sung vocals.

Variance is available as a download and as a CD packaged as a miniature vinyl LP featuring a gatefold sleeve and the CD itself designed to look like a black vinyl record.

Erasure recently finished touring last year’s album The Violet Flame, which was the winner of Best Album at Classic Pop’s inaugural awards in March. for more
