New Order to release 2020 definitive edition of Power, Corruption & Lies

New Order’s Power, Corruption & Lies will be re-released on 2 October 2020 as a definitive edition boxed set

New Order are releasing a definitive edition of their 1983 studio album Power, Corruption & Lies, featuring an LP, two CDs, a DVD and a book.

Power, Corruption & Lies will be remastered for the first time from the original analogue tapes and presented on vinyl, as well as on a CD. The boxed set will also include an ‘extras’ CD with previously unreleased writing sessions from the band’s Manchester rehearsal room, plus a 1982 John Peel session for the BBC, and a DVD showcasing rare live and TV performances. A 48-page hardback book completes the collection, packed full of rare photos and original text collated by Warren Jackson.

The boxed set will be accompanied by individual releases of the 4 12” vinyl singles from 1983 and 1984 that didn’t appear on the original LP, beginning with the best selling 12” of all time Blue Monday, followed by Confusion, Thieves Like Us and Murder.
