Cuco - Para Mi
Perfect for summer, Californian Omar Banos’ debut – Para Mi – displays airy charms reminiscent of the similarly youthful Yellow Days’ wonderful Is Everything OK In Your World last year. Defying its bedroom roots, Keeping Tabs’ half-spoken, half-sung melody, reminiscent of The Internet, floats above woozy keyboard lines, and Far Away From Home’s like an 80s power ballad on a tiny budget. Love Tripper’s so laidback it’s almost sleeping, and Bossa No Sé’s tale of infidelity conceals its frustration amid delicate guitars worthy of Astrid Gilberto.

8/10
