The Supacabra Tour will be the first Furries shows since December 2016
Super Furry Animals have announced their return to action with live dates across Britain and Ireland next May.
Opening at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on Wednesday 6 May 2026 with further dates in Glasgow, Llandudno, Manchester and London all confirmed, the Supacabra Tour will be the first Furries shows since December 2016.
Simultaneously announcing the multi-format, 20th anniversary reissue of their 2005 album, Love Kraft, the band – formed of Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Daf Ieuan, Guto Pryce and Gruff Rhys – reconvene in reflective mood, planning a live set that honours three decades of sonic adventure, creative rebellion and enduring, collective curiosity.
Confirmed support acts are disco rock duo Getdown Services (all dates except London), Welsh surf-psych six-piece Melin Melyn (Cardiff only) and soul-searching South London trio, Honeyglaze (London only).
Something 4 The Weekend
First emerging in 1995 after their signing to Creation Records, the band grabbed headlines for their unusual promotional tactics, including the famous Super Furry Animals Tank, giant inflatable bears and Yeti costumes.
Their statement debut album, Fuzzy Logic in 1996, offered era-crystalising singles, God! Show Me Magic and Hometown Unicorn, which melded an attention-demanding mix of literary, narcotic and musical influences. Maintaining a shape that was ill-fitting in the jigsaw of other 90s guitar bands, their follow-up, UK Top 10 album, Radiator brought the hooky squelch of the bona fide indie dancefloor classic, The International Language of Screaming. The next decade saw the release of the first Top 20-charting, Welsh language album, Mwng (2000), followed by further experimentation and commercial success with Rings Around The World (2001) and Phantom Power (2003).
Tempering the irresistible tug towards nostalgia, Super Furry Animals will release a cut of previously unreleased music on the eve of tickets going on sale, with BBC 6 Music’s Huw Stephens premiering Rock ‘N’ Roll Flu on Thursday 2 October 2025 at 5pm.

From The Vaults
Originally released on 22 August 2005, the Furries’ third and final album to be recorded by Epic Records, Love Kraft is to be reissued on double vinyl, 2CDs, including the 22-track bonus CD, Kiss Me With Apocalypse and digital formats on Friday 24 October 2025 via the Cardiff-based independent label, Strangetown Records.
Featuring the single Lazer Beam, backed on release with perhaps a definitive, lost ‘classic Furries’ track, Sunny Seville and the CD-only Colonise The Moon (both featured amongst the reissue’s extensive track listing), Super Furry Animals remained true to Love Kraft’s easy-going, love-lorn concept. Accompanied by a video directed by Welsh filmmaking duo, Palumbo & Coch, the single reached the UK Singles Chart Top 30.
Four previously unheard tracks are drawn from the vaults on the reissue, including the squidgy ELO-stomp of drummer, Daf Ieuan-led Rock ‘N’ Roll Flu, plus the distorted space-jam of Cae Marw, the band’s deep-bass sketch of Palo Alto and ghostly, percussive morsel of Bedw Arian.
Updated packaging features the original, meticulously built diorama design by long-time collaborator, the artist, Pete Fowler. Constructed by hand in his London studio, complete with bulb-lit illumination, and then photographed, the sleeve’s depiction of a monolith-rich desert landscape reflects the sense of other space and other time depicted by Love Kraft’s woozy songs. The final sleeve design again comes courtesy of Mark James. Love Kraft was compiled with the support of band archivist, Kliph Scurlock and remastered by Donal Whelan at Hafod Mastering.
