Big Country announce UK tour

Scottish rock legends Big Country announce UK tour for winter 2025.

Including stops in Cardiff, Leeds, London, Manchester and Newcastle, the UK dates stand as part of a 2025 world tour stopping in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Throughout the tour, aside from their classics, Big Country will be playing tracks from their upcoming album Eastworld, set for release later this year with further information to be revealed soon.

Support will come from post-punk pioneer, Toyah. With her unique voice, electrifying stage presence and artistic versatility, Toyah has made an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. Her influence extends far beyond music, having starred in numerous TV, film and theatre productions, including Jubilee (1978), Quadrophenia (1979), and the most recent series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

In A Big Country

Big Country remain one of Scotland’s most iconic rock bands, known for their unique fusion of post-punk, new wave, and Scottish folk influences. From their breakthrough in the 1980s to the present day, Big Country continues to captivate audiences with their anthemic sound and repertoire of memorable hits.

Formed in 1981 in Dunfermline, Scotland, Big Country’s distinctive blend of rock and Celtic influences quickly set them apart from their contemporaries. Their 1983 debut album, The Crossing, introduced hit singles like In A Big Country and Fields Of Fire, which became well known around the world. These tracks established Big Country as one of the most original and exciting bands of the era.

The current line-up consists of Bruce Watson (guitar), Jamie Watson (guitar), Tommie Paxton (vocals), Reece Dobbin (drums) and Chris Stones (bass).
