The unmistakable sound of 90s girl-power pop is being given the vinyl reissue treatment

Spice Girls

The iconic girl group have just announced the re-release of Spiceworld and The Greatest Hits on vinyl. Both will be available from 13 March via UMC/Virgin EMI.

Fans will be excited to hear that Spiceworld retains all its original artwork from 1997 and still holds the chart-topping hits Spice Up Your Life, Viva Forever and Too Much – their second Christmas No.1 in the UK singles chart. Having sold over 13 million copies worldwide, it’s an album that’s firmly cemented itself in the 90s zeitgeist.

The Greatest Hits was re-released in January on picture disc to commemorate their sold-out UK tour last summer. Now it’s back on 180g black vinyl and features Wannabe, 2 Become 1, Spice Up Your Life and Goodbye.

Since their debut single in 1996, The Spice Girls have gone from strength to strength, selling more than 85 million records worldwide, as well as securing nine UK No.1 singles and a BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. Last year, they reunited for a much-anticipated tour, playing stadiums across the UK and Ireland, performing together for the first time since the London 2012 Olympics.

Spiceworld and The Greatest Hits will be available on 13 March. Click here (or below) to pre-order your copies now.
