Signature sound

Produced by Freddy Wexler (Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Pink, Kanye West and Blackpink), Turn The Lights Back On was written by Arthur Bacon and Wayne Hector with Wexler and Joel.

Embodying the hallmarks of his signature sound and ushering in the next chapter of his story, the track asks, “Did I wait too long… to turn the lights back on?”

Piano man

Famed for tracks such as Piano Man, My Life, It’s Still Rock & Roll To Me, Tell Her About It, An Innocent Man, We Didn’t Start The Fire and The River Of Dreams, Joel topped the UK Singles Chart for five weeks with Uptown Girl in 1983 – watch below:

Next chapter

Joel has not released any new music since the non-album single All My Life and his Cass Dillon collaboration, Christmas In Fallujah, in 2007.

The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee will play the Cardiff Principality Stadium with special guest Chris Isaak on 9 August. To book tickets click here.
