Former Strawberry Switchblade singer Rose McDowall has announced a rare concert at London’s St Pancras Old Church on May 28.
McDowall recently supported The Jesus And Mary Chain in her home town of Glasgow and tickets for the headline show are £9.
The show comes as McDowall has signed a deal with Night School Records to release an archive of her whole career, including Strawberry Switchblade. Details will be announced “shortly”, according to her spokesperson.
Last year’s Channel 4 documentary The Outsiders on cult musicians profiled McDowall alongside Belle And Sebastian, The Pastels And The Vaselines.
Since Strawberry Switchblade split in 1986, McDowall has focused on industrial music, making appearances on songs by the likes of Coil, Current 93 and Boyd Rice.
