The Human League will be performing the classic album in its entirety on the DARE 40 Tour next year

The Human League dominated the charts throughout the 1980s and were part of a New Wave synth-pop movement that remains hugely influential in today’s pop. Their 1981 album DARE instantly became a landmark album in the British music scene, with it unapologetically political songwriting and innovative style going on to influence fashion, sound and club culture in the UK and, later, in the US and Europe.

Hit single Don’t You Want Me, which claimed the coveted UK Christmas No.1 spot in 1981, is a highlight, but DARE is packed with some of The Human League’s greatest tracks, winning them a BRIT award and securing the band as a chart-topping success.

Next year, The Human League will embark on a tour to mark 40 years of DARE, headlining arenas across the country. Fans will have a chance to relive the album in its entirety, performed live, with Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey and Altered Images also set to feature on the bill. Both acts will support each show unless otherwise indicated.
